upGrad’s online courses will now be available on the BookMyShow platform

All BookMyShow users will be able to access upGrad’s upskilling and career advancement online programmes. upGrad, the Indian online higher education company, has tied up with BookMyShow, the entertainment platform, to enable users to choose any of their preferred upskilling, career advancement courses and choice of entertainment — all on a single platform. This collaboration brings together entertainment and education on a single platform. It enables users, especially millennials, access to quality education and upskilling formats across all the metros, as well as tier 2 cities and beyond, wherever BookMyShow has a larger and strong consumer base. By making available all its online programmes on the BookMyShow platform, millions of interested individuals will have “quality higher education options at the ease of their fingertips”, explains Arjun Mohan, CEO – India, upGrad.

IBM collaborates with GoI to launch free digital learning platform

The ‘SkillsBuild Reignite’ platform will provide courses and online coaching to benefit job seekers and entrepreneurs. In an attempt to help the youth of India as well as budding entrepreneurs, IBM has launched the ‘SkillsBuild Reignite’ platform, which will offer free online courses and mentorship. The platform will provide personalised coaching and enhanced courses to help entrepreneurs establish their businesses. In November, 2019, IBM had collaborated with the Directorate General of Training (DGT), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, to establish the SkillsBuild online learning platform for the benefit of students across the country. It has been offering digital classrooms with the help of the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) of the country. Now, IBM has gone a step further to include more courses and coaching sessions to lend support to entrepreneurs who need advice or help with starting their own small businesses or resuming operations post the COVID-19 pandemic.
