In addition to leading human resources, corporate
communications and administration for the firm, globally, he will now also look
after legal and corporate affairs.
Prabir Jha, who until now was responsible for human resources globally as well corporate communications and administration, has got an even extended portfolio. Apart from the existing role, Jha will now manage legal and corporate affairs as well.
Jha joined Cipla in October 2015 as group chief people officer. He had moved from Reliance Industries where he was the group CHRO.
Jha, an industry veteran, was always keen to take up more strategic responsibilities. At the time of joining Cipla, he had told HRKatha that he was looking at a more strategic role, which went beyond just human resources. The company has entrusted Jha with varied responsibilities, as he brings with him rich and diverse experience from across industries and domains.

Meru Cabs’s CEO Siddhartha
Pahwa resigns

Chief executive officer of Meru, popular taxi aggregator resigns from the
company after five- year stint. Pahwa told to media that he will be working on his own ventures after a short break. “I have spent good five years at Meru. It is now a stable company with cash-break even and is growing profitably. Currently, I’ll take a short break and after that I will work on few venture ideas that I have in mind,” said Siddhartha Pahwa.
His role would be taken over by Meru’s chief technology officer Nilesh Sangoi by January next year.

Peeyush Ranjan, chief technology officer of Flipkart resigns
Yet another exit from Flipkarts top management level.
Peeyush Ranjan, chief technology officer of
Flipkart will leave the company at the end of December as per media reports.
This is another big exit of top managers of India’s largest e-retailer.
Ranjan will be joining the San Francisco-based
accommodation startup Airbnb as its VP of engineering in January next year.
A former Google executive
Ranjan joined Flipkart in May 2015 as Engineering head, and was elevated to the
position of CTO in June this year.
