Sriharsha Achar makes a move after 8 Yrs: to join Max Bupa as CHRO

Achar has spent eight years with Apollo Munich as chief people officer, contributing considerably to its growth. 
Sriharsha Achar, chief people officer, Apollo Munich Health Insurance has called it a day after eight years.
He is all set to join Max Bupa Health Insurance as the director and CHRO and sources close to the development have confirmed the same to HRKatha.
Achar will join Max Bupa on February 15, after concluding his exit formalities at Apollo Munich.  His last working day at the company will be February 13.
An engineering graduate, Achar completed his master’s in industrial engineering from Goa University and a PGDBMA in business management from the Goa Institute of Management, post which he pursued a PhD in human resources management at Canterbury University.
In year 2000, Achar joined First Ring India as the director-HR and then worked with America Online for two years before moving to Xchanging in 2006. In July 2008, he joined vKarma as the chief human resources officer. Achar joined Apollo Munich as the chief people officer in 2009 and has played a pivotal role in the growth of the company since then.

Ex-Nirula CEO Samir Kuckreja joins Zomato’s top team

Samir Kuckreja to head Zomato base as President, which is cloud -based point of sale product.
Former CEO of Nirula’s corner house, Samir Kuckreja has joined Zomato’s top management team. Zomato is one of the known online restaurant discovery platform and Samir will be leading its food tech firm’s cloud-based point of sale product, Zomato Base, as President.
Zomato Base was launched last year. It offers convenient restaurant features to customers such as menu, recipe, inventory management, CRM, real – time analytics etc. and includes built –in payment solution facilitating online and offline payments to customers, where it accepts credit and debit cards both. It is an Android – based system that enables restaurants to operate from a single platform. 
Kuckreja has worked with Zomato before in an advisory capacity and has been associated in the past with regard to restaurant booking.  Besides heading popular QSR food chain, Nirula’s corner house as MD & CEO until 2012, Samir had also started his own Tasanaya Hospitality. He had also worked as the joint MD for Mars Hotels & Restaurants before working with Nirula. 
He is a  graduate from Cornell University and has served as president of the National Restaurant Association of India until 2015.

Qlik appoints Julian Quinn as Regional VP, Asia Pacific

Veteran leader in the IT industry to tap rise of visual analytics and drive growth in the region
Qlik has appointed Julian Quinn as Regional Vice President for Qlik in Asia Pacific (APAC). Quinn will be responsible for leading and expanding Qlik’s operations throughout the region including ASEAN, Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea and Taiwan markets.
 With over 30 years of experience in the IT Industry, Quinn has extensive knowledge of APAC markets and has a distinguished track record of sales success. Prior to joining Qlik, he held senior leadership positions at various companies, including but not limited to: Vice President Asia and Japan at Veeam Software, Vice President APAC at Adobe Systems, Vice President APAC at Borland, and Managing Director at Netscape.
 “We’re delighted to welcome someone of Julian’s calibre onboard to helm Qlik’s operations in Asia Pacific.  Last year, in Asia Pacific, customers across different industries – such as Akindo Sushiro, Baidu, Lazada, Lupin Limited and Teachers Mutual Bank – started to harness Qlik’s platform-based approach to derive actionable insights.
