PNSV Narasimham named global head-HR at Cyient
Narasimham, who was pursuing a doctoral programme at the University of Bristol in the UK, has worked with companies such as Microland and Cognizant in the past. 
Global provider of engineering, manufacturing, data analytics, networks and operations solutions, Cyient, has appointed PNSV Narasimham as the senior vice president and global head of human resources (HR).
Based out of Hyderabad, Narasimham will be responsible for leading HR transformation for Cyient, globally, including all functions within business fulfilment, engagement, and HR shared services.
In a career spanning 25 years in HR and general management, Narasimham has led numerous strategic initiatives transforming organisations and HR functions into high-performance teams, across the manufacturing, services, and information technology sectors. His experience encompasses employment and engagement practices in Asia, Europe, and North America.
Narasimham was on a sabbatical until now, pursuing a doctoral programme at the University of Bristol in the UK. Prior to that, he was the executive vice president and chief people officer at Microland, global head of leadership initiatives at Cognizant, and chief operating officer at UBS India Service Centre. Earlier in his career, he worked for Arvind Mills, Hewlett-Packard and Motorola.

Nirbhik Goel moves from Barclays to AIG
Goel worked with Tata AIG General Insurance Company Limited as vice-president- human resources/regional director of training and development MEMSA region between 2000 and 2007.
Nirbhik Goel, managing director and head-HR, Barclays India, has moved to AIG as global strategic human resources business partner. In his new role, Goel will be based out of Dubai. 
This will be his second stint with AIG. He worked with Tata AIG General Insurance company earlier as vice-president-human resources and then as regional director of training and development, MEMSA region, between 2000 and 2007.
Goel started his career with the Oberoi Group of Hotels in 1991 and spent seven years with the group before rising through the ranks. In 1998, he moved to GE Capital as AV-P, training and development.
Post his stint at Tata AIG, he moved to Hyatt International-South West Asia, in 2007, as regional vice president of human resources, and was based out of Dubai.
Since 2012, he was at Barclays India.
An alumnus of the prestigious Mayo College, Goel completed his post graduate diploma in HR from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, in 2008. He is also a keen golfer and a fitness enthusiast.

Mona Cherian is president & group head-HR, Thomas Cook
With over 30 years of professional experience, Cherian began her career as an associate professor at Sophia College.
Mona Cherian, COO & head-HR, at Thomas Cook India has now been elevated as president & group head-HR. This development is part of the major restructuring at Thomas Cook India.
Cherian has more than 30 years of professional experience, having started her work life as associate professor at Sophia College, in 1985. Two and a half years later, she joined NIIT as a senior systems executive.
Her foray into the human resources domain began as a training officer with the ESSAR Group, followed by a 16-year long tenure at Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd. There, she managed the human resources group of OFSS ( i-flex Solutions) at the Mumbai, Pune and Europe offices.
In addition to managing the HR team, Cherian also managed the global immigration team, international compensation formulation, employee engagement and various strategic initiatives. She led a global team responsible for organisational effectiveness initiatives, learning and development, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations and e-HR.
At Thomas Cook India, Cherian’s mandate as president & group head-HR, includes strategy, leadership development, employee engagement and HR functions at the Group level.
Cherian is also entrusted with developing talent for the organisation and the industry via the company’s education and training vertical—Centre of Learning. An Arts graduate from Osmania University, she also holds a Diploma in Hotel Administration and Food Technology, from the Sophia Polytechnic, and an Honors Diploma in Systems Management from NIIT.
