Head Jambu Palaniappan quits
Palaniappan
has been with Uber since 2012 and held a number of high-level positions. He has
quit Uber to become a venture capitalist.
The Head of Uber’s fast-growing food delivery
business in Europe, Jambu Palaniappan has quit the company to become a venture
capitalist, as first reported by Sky News.
In an internal company memo written by VP of Uber
Everything Jason Droege, it said, "After more than 5 years leading Uber
and UberEats businesses in all corners of the globe, Jambu Palaniappan has
decided to embark on a new adventure to pursue his passion working with the
startup community at a leading European venture capital firm."
Uber has been through difficult times ever since
Susan Fowler’s sexual accusation blog-post hit the social media. After that Travis
Kalanick’s altercation with an Uber driver, executives being dismissed over
obtaining the medical records of rape victim, resignation of Kalanick to losing
its operating licence in London – Uber has had quite a rough year.

Flipkart
appoints its CTO Ravi Garikipati as Head of FinTech dept
The
engineering division of the company, which was under Garikipati, will now report
directly to Krishnamurthy.
Flipkart has appointed its Chief Technology Officer Ravi
Garikipati as the Head of its FinTech department with immediate effect,
as reported by ET.
According to the media report, this was revealed in an internal email to
company employees on Tuesday. The publication which viewed the content of the
email mentioned what Flipkart Chief wrote in the internal communication mail.
“Currently, areas such as consumer credit and supply-chain financing are still
at a nascent stage in India due to unevolved credit and risk assessment models,
but that is changing fast,” Krishnamurthy said in the email.
The engineering division of the company, which was under
Garikipati, will now report directly to Krishnamurthy.

Philips India appoints Armaan Seth
as Head of Human Resources
He has a strong record of accomplishment in driving People

Philips India, has announced the appointment of Armaan Seth
as Head Human Resources for the Indian Sub-continent with effect from 1st
November, 2017.
In his previous role as Global HR Head for Philips Global IT
Function; he was working with the CIO as part of the Global IT Leadership Team
where he led the implementation of a new Global Employee Footprint by
leveraging Philips hubs in USA, Netherlands, India and China.
He has a strong record of accomplishment in driving People
Transformation, Capability Improvement and Organization Effectiveness.
Commenting on his elevation as HR Head for Indian
sub-continent, Armaan said, “I am happy to be back in India where our potential
