Harshvendra Soin elevated to president – APJ, Tech Mahindra

For the past decade he has been with Tech Mahindra, with the last four years in the role of global chief people officer and head marketing, corporate services, and people supply chain (RMG). Harshvendra Soin’s latest promotion at Tech Mahindra will see him donning the mantle of president – APJ, telecom and enterprise business. Since 2019, he has been the global chief people officer and head marketing, corporate services, and people supply chain (RMG). His association with Tech Mahindra has been a long one though, starting way back in 2012, when he joined as global head – leadership acquisition and development, and head – business HR (APAC & IMEA).

Sophie Ames is the new EVP & CPO, Mitel

Ames has worked with ServiceMax and Veritas Technologies amongst other big names. Mitel, the Canadian telecommunications firm has roped in Sophie Ames as its new EVP and chief people officer. Ames, who began her professional journey as HR manager, with Berlitz International AB, has also worked with Thomson Legal & Regulatory as director for five years. In 2005, she joined Amdocs as director, HR business partner, customer management division. Three years later, in 2008, she moved to Avaya, as senior director, HRBP, enterprise collaboration solutions. Three years into this role, she was elevated to senior director, HRBP, worldwide sales and global field operations. By October 2014, she became vice president – global learning and enablement, worldwide sales.

 

3. SAP ropes in Gina Vargiu-Breuer for role of CPO, labour director

She was with Siemens Energy for four four years and with Siemens for 17+ years before that. “I am honored and humbled to have been appointed to join the executive board of SAP as the chief people officer and labour director, effective 1 Februrary, 2024,” posts Gina Vargiu-Breuer on social media. Vargiu-Breuer has worked with Siemens for over 17 years before joining Siemens Energy, where she spent the last four years. A master’s degree holder in economic psychology from Catholic University of Eichstatt-Ingolstadt, Vargiu-Breuer joined Siemens in 2022, as learning and development manager, local HR business partner.
