Santana Ramakrishnan appointed CHRO, Carl Zeiss India

Ramakrishnan moves from DealShare, where she was CHRO since 2022. Zeiss Group, a global tech company working in the area of optics and optoelectronics, has appointed Santana Ramakrishnan as its new chief human resources officer (CHRO) for India and neighboring markets. Santana was earlier CHRO, DealShare, where she has served for almost two years, based out of Bengaluru. An alumna of XLRI Jamshedpur, Ramakrishnan was associated with GE Capital for almost four years in the initial part of her career journey, back in 2001. By 2004, she was organization and staffing manager, GE Capital, based out of China.

Perfios appoints Anu Mathew as chief people officer

Mathew excels at forming global teams and collaborating with founders and leaders to establish thriving companies with a positive team culture. Perfios, a B2B SaaS fintech company in India, has roped in Anu Mathew as its new chief people officer (CPO). The appointment comes as a part of the company’s strategic move in preparation for an IPO listing in the next 18-24 months. The firm is also looking at expanding globally. Mathew brings over two decades of experience in human resources, with a proven track record of making small companies grow and also working for big companies around the world. She excels at forming global teams and collaborating with founders and leaders to establish thriving and enduring companies with a positive team culture.

Unacademy gets Sandhydeep Purri as chief people officer

Unacademy, an Indian learning platform, has appointed Sadhydeep Purri as its new chief people officer. Having worked across various industries such as manufacturing, media, consulting, technology and retail, Purri brings a wealth of experience to Unacademy. Purri has spent over two decades in human resources. She has also held many leadership roles across diverse industries and geographies. She is known for making sure that the well-being of employees is a top priority while making big changes aimed at companywide improvement. Prior to joining Unacademy, Purri was associated with Sapphire Foods as its chief people officer, spearheading HR strategies for brands, including Pizza Hut and KFC. She has also worked with Aditya Birla Group’s retail division, including Aditya Birla Retail (now More Retail), Pantaloons Fashion Retail and Madura Fashion and Garments, covering their stores and non-store facilities.
