Gurpreet Singh appointed head of human resources, Wiom

Petersen moves from Thermo Fisher Scientific, where she was VP-HR, laboratory chemicals. After a successful five-year long tenure at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Lori Petersen has joined Cipla has vice president-human resources. Having begun her professional journey in 2001, with MRINetwork, as research manager, Petersen comes with over two decades of experience. She served as talent acquisition specialist at CHEP from 2006 to 2008 before moving on to Rolls-Royce in June of 2008.

Anand Pillai appointed chief strategy officer & professor of practice, Christ University, Bangalore

Pillai moves from LogarithmHR, where he was director since September 2020. Anand Pillai has been appointed chief strategy officer and professor of practice, Christ University, Delhi NCR, Bangalore and Lavasa. He has to his credit an illustrious career spanning over 40 years in strategic planning and innovation. Having started his professional journey as a management trainee with DCM in 1982, Pillai has come a long way. From 1984 to 1987, he was area manager, Schlumberger JV with Tatas through NELCO. Three years later, he moved on to join Tata Consultancy Services, as major account manager, in 1986. For the next six years, he held various portfolios from Unix systems administrator to major account manager in Burroughs (which later became UNISYS). He also trained and got certified in several international programmes, which made him capable of coaching managers within the company.

Hero Vired ropes in Prakhar Kasar for CEO role

Kasar moves from MakeMyTrip where he was VP & business head MyBiz:Make My Trip for Work. Hero Vired has appointed Prakhar Kasar as its chief executive officer. Kasar has been brought on at a time when the learntech platform, which is a part of the Hero Group, is trying to expand its reach and impact in the online education space. Backed by over 16 years of experience, Kasar began his professional journey with Pepsico India, as management trainee, in 2008. Within a year, he was promoted to territory development manager. Two and a half years into this role, he was promoted again, to assistant brand manager. By 2014, he had become the brand manager-beverage innovation, based out of Gurgaon.
