Kristin Major elevated to EVP & CPO, HPE

Major had been serving as chief talent officer, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, since March 2023. After serving as chief talent officer, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) for 11 months, Kristin Major has been elevated to the position of executive vice president and chief people officer. She will be based out of Houston, Texas, in the US. Her association with HPE has been long. An alumna of the University of Arizona, Major has read law at Georgetown University Law Centre. She spent three years in the initial stages of her professional journey serving as an attorney at Snell & Wilmer. In 2020, she joined Skadden Arps, as counsel-labour and employment. About a year later, she moved to Hewlett Packard Enterprise as senior vice president and deputy general counsel, global functions, global security and aviation. This role saw her working out of Palo Alto, California.

Standard Chartered elevates Rukshila Seneviratne as head-HR

Seneviratne’s journey with Standard Chartered commenced in Dubai as an officer-consumer banking mortgage operations, in May 2008. Standard Chartered has named Rukshila Seneviratne as its new head-human resources for Sri Lanka, effective from 12 January, 2024. In her new capacity, Seneviratne will oversee the country’s people strategy and join the Bank’s country-management team. As part of her role, she will also serve as the co-chair of the Bank’s internal diversity and inclusion (D&I) council.  Seneviratne’s journey with Standard Chartered commenced in Dubai as an officer-consumer banking mortgage operations, in May 2008. She later moved to Sri Lanka in March 2010, taking on the role of manager-secured lending and credit initiation.  In June 2013, she played a pivotal role in the HR team, leading HR service delivery. After that, she held various senior positions within HR, including HR service delivery, performance rewards and benefits delivery, talent acquisition and HR business partner for retail banking, risk and support functions.

Aptia appoints Roopa Abraham Kochhar as CPO

Aptia, the recently launched administrator of pensions, health and benefits, has roped in Roopa Abraham Kochhar as its new chief people officer (CPO). In her new role, Kochhar will spearhead Aptia’s people team, enhancing its capabilities globally across the UK, US, India and Portugal.  With two decades of experience in human resources, Kochhar commenced her career with Allianz’s greenfield joint venture in India, Bajaj Allianz General  Insurance. She joined the company in the year 2001 as head-HR for three years, that us, till 2013.  She later took on the role of director-HR at Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) India in 2013. After four years, in 2016, she returned to the Allianz Group HQ in Munich, holding positions as head-HR and change (Allianz SE). Subsequently, she held the role of global head-HR and change for Allianz Partners, for the period 2019-2022.
