considerable surge in recruitment, aiming for a notable 26% increase in
workforce compared to the previous year, as highlighted in a report on
India’s Best Workplaces in BFSI, future-focused leaders in this sector are now
turning to knowledge solutions to help usher in a transformative change within
the industry. With research highlighting how soft skills are

Will skill all employees to
do Gen AI projects: Happiest Minds
In
the December quarter, Happiest Minds bagged six projects in the generative AI
space after having discussions with 30 prospective clients, Anantharaju said.
Bengaluru: Happiest Minds says it wants to ensure all its employees can be deployed
in the generative AI business unit in the next one year. This unit was
set up in October 2023 and the CTO of the company,
Sridhar Mantha, was made its CEO. Executive vice-chairman Joseph Anantharaju told TOI that 100
employees have been moved to this business unit. The IT firm, founded by Ashok Soota, has a little over 5,000
employees. In the December quarter, Happiest Minds bagged six projects
in the generative AI space after having discussions with 30 prospective
clients. “Generative AI is an engine of growth for us. Clients are currently looking
at mostly a consulting and collaborative role as to what they can do with
generative AI. They themselves are not clear what should be done and what can
be done,” he said. The company, like its peers, reported muted numbers for the
third quarter of FY24 and is looking to better its margins by improving
employee utilisation. 200 freshers were onboarded in September and became
billable in December, the firm said. 100 more freshers are undergoing training.

employees get accent training for better interaction with global clients
“The goal of voice and
accent training is to neutralise one’s inherent accent and make their speech
understandable to a global audience,” said a voice coach on condition of
anonymity. Pune: Voice and accent coaching has gained popularity over the past
few years. Several people working in
customer service or sales and dealing with international clients prefer to have
a neutral accent to interact with them effortlessly. “The goal of voice and
accent training is to neutralise one’s inherent accent and make their speech
understandable to a global audience,” said a voice accent coach on condition of
anonymity. These courses focus on key areas like pronunciations, phonetics and
intonations and are primarily for employees working in BPO, global manufacturing
and IT sectors.
