Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Merlyn Michael D'souza with Class-based activity of PGDM students on Group Dynamics with Jo-Hari window analysis in class of Organisational Behaviour

An activity that was conducted by a group of HR students in a lecture on Jo-Hari Window Analysis. The purpose of the activity was to demonstrate the group dynamics that a business manager brings to an organization. The activity consisted of the following steps:

  • Each participant listed 5 out of 56 adjectives what best describes them and their team members each.
  • Each participant wrote 5 qualities that they wish to disclose to the group on themselves. Also they received feedback on 5 qualities about themselves that the other team members wish to disclose to the given team member.
  • The participants then discussed their analysis and enlarged their 'Open windows' and increased self awareness through group interventions.
  • The participants then filled a Jo Hari Window Analysis Questionnaire and discovered what facet of the group persona they fit into like 'Open', 'Hidden', 'Unknown' and 'Blind'
